The Pitcher of the Month Award is presented to the pitcher in the NL and AL judged to be the most valuable in their respective league for each month of the SP78 season, as chosen by representatives of the SP78 Department of Statistics in Evanston, Illinois. Both starters and relievers are eligible for the award, but a reliever must have at least one start to be considered.
