Brown, Braun join Mariners from AAA San Jose

In an attempt to bolster their relief corps and add some punch to their offense, the Seattle Mariners today called up pitcher Tom Brown and outfielder Steve Braun from their Pacific Coast League affiliate in San Jose. Braun spent six seasons with the Minnesota Twins before joining the Mariners in 1977 via the expansion draft; for Brown, this will be his first visit to the major leagues after going 7-8 with a 3.70 ERA for the Missions this season. To make room on their roster, the Mariners sent outfielder John Hale and infielder Juan Bernhardt to San Jose.

  2. Dear Concerned Brother,

Steve Braun gets base hits with numbers 11-31. John Hale gets base hits with numbers 11-18.

Now, please go back to being commissioner of your Candy Land league.

    Regards,
Todd – brother – ruler of siblings
